As the only organisation in the creditor sector of the industry dedicated to lobbying relevant individuals and bodies on behalf of members, we seek to create a common approach amongst litigants to rectify problems in using the court service.
By liaising regularly with key figures in the judiciary, the CCUA is able to provide up to date information about forthcoming amendments to court procedures. We work hard to achieve consistency across all courts by remaining at the forefront of debate so we can positively affect changes to the system for the better.
The CCUA boasts a strong voice at the highest legislative level. In close collaboration with other relevant organisations such as the Enforcement Law Reform Group and the Money Advice Liaison Group, we are able to respond clearly to proposed government reform. In addition regular contact is maintained with other bodies such as the Credit Services Association and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX).
