Who we are
The Civil Court Users Association (CCUA) was launched in 1988 (originally as the County Court Users Association). We are a non-commercial lobbying organisation, the largest of its kind for civil litigators within the creditor sector in England and Wales.
The CCUA is the only UK lobby which supports its members exclusively on civil court, individual and commercial litigation matters relating to debt recovery, insolvency, dispute resolution and more.
You can see all our volunteers who make the work of The CCUA possible on the Our People page.
What we do
We exist to continue to provide a positive influence on the future of the court service. Our aim is clear: to bring about improvements to the civil court service and performance offered by Her Majesty's Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) across England and Wales.
With over 30 years' experience in this field, the CCUA has the experience and the political gravitas to pursue the aims and objectives of our members vigorously.
Together, our members are one consolidated and respected voice in the industry, raising concerns about court related issues and playing an integral role in positively influencing the work of the court service.
The CCUA's approach is simple and effective.
We bring together users of the court service to provide valuable insight, information and updates on the latest industry developments.
We navigate changes in government, keep track of decision makers and make sure everyone is aware of any shortcomings in the court system.
We seek to inspire and lobby for improvements at the highest level of government through the appropriate agencies.
